PLAN OF WORK

1. Introduction to the solar system

2. Definition of planet

3. Different types of the planet in the solar system

4. Brief explanation of each of the type of the planet.

Introduction to Solar System

The earth is one of the planets in the solar system. The solar system is made up of Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. The solar system is comprised of the sun and all the bodies, (planets, satellites, and other objects) moving around it.

The Sun

The sun is the huge ball of burning gas which is the main source of light and heat. it is not a planet, but is a burning ball of fire. The sun is the main source of light and heat energy.

The Planet

Firstly, what is a planet?

Planet do not produce light like the sun and it is not a light. The planet may appear like stars at night because they are nearer to us than any star. A planet is a celestial body moving around the sun. A bright object in the  sky that does not twinkle at night is called plant

Types of planets in the solar system

There are 9 planets revolve around the sun. Each planet has its own way.

These planets are:

1. Mercury

2. Venus

3. Earth

4. Mars

5. Jupiter

6. Saturn

7. Uranus

8. Neptune

9. Pluto

Mercury

Mercury is the smallest and the closest planet to the sun.It is the first planet in the solar syste. It is very close to the sun, but it is not the hottest planet. It does not have any moon. It is very rocky in nature and most of the time it is regarded as “A Terrestrial Planet”

Venus

Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system. It is not the biggest planet but a little bit smaller that earth. Despite it is not the closest planet to the sun, it is still hotter than all other planets It has no moon and cannot sustain lives. It is the second planet to the sun.

The Earth

The third planet to the sun is the earth. Earth is the only planet that can sustain lives. It is the planet of human beings and animals. Its space is covered by almost 70% water, because water is actively needed to make a living things and others survive. It has one moon. Earth supports both living and non living things, and it serves as a place of living and surviving for them all.

Mars

Mars is always referred to as Red planet because of its red color It is the forth planet to the sun. Mars has the number of two moon unlike earth which has only one moon. These two moons are refereed to as Demos and Phobos. It is a very rocky planet because of the presence of rock therein.

Jupiter

Jupiter is the fifth planet to the sun and the largest of them all. The size of Jupiter is twice more than the all other planets together. Jupiter has a total number of 76 moons and despite it does not support lives. It has a large number of gas due to its bigger size.

Saturn

Saturn is another planet in the solar system. It is in the sixth position to the sun. It is made up of ice because it is a bit far from the sun It has a ring and also very rocky planet. It has up to the total number of seven rings. It is also dusty but also not supports lives.

Uranus

Uranus is the seventh planet in the solar system. It is a very cold planet and also the most coldest of them all. This is is because it is very far from the sun. It has a very large gas and ice therein. It also has the total number of almost 27 moons and does not support lives.

The Neptune

The Neptune is the last planet in the solar system. It is a very cold planet and has a big ice just like Saturn, Uranus and Jupiter. Neptune is a very windy planet and has many moons. It is very far from the sun and has up to 13 moons in total.Neptune like others does not actively support lives too due to its nature of being too cold to live.
